On August 21, The Journey with Christ joined with a number of other community churches to help over 600 middle and high school students receive back packs loaded with school supplies.  Some of us helped in registration, others helped give out supplies, and I helped grill up 1200 hot dogs.  That is a lot of hot dogs!  The event was sponsored by Beaverton Love in the Name of Christ.  Randy Kinnison and Jason Hall serve as board members.

One of the Simple Communities of The Journey with Christ feeds staff and guests at the Ronald McDonald House located near OHSU Hospital once a month an a Sunday evening.  House guests have a family member as a patient in the hospital.  Many guests stay from one to several months allowing family members affordable housing while dealing with critical health issues.  The Journey with Christ will serve dinner this Sunday evening, June 6th.
